Standing quietly in the shallow water at Tehidy Woods, this grey heron remained completely focused on the task at hand. While families and children walked nearby along the woodland paths, the bird paid little attention to anything except the water below and the chance of its next catch.
For nearly an hour it stood patiently, barely moving, watching the surface with intense concentration. Encounters like this reveal the calm precision of these skilled hunters, where patience and timing are everything.
