Kingfisher - More please
Feeding time was clearly not over yet. The adult kingfisher had already brought food back, but the youngster was not finished asking for more. It landed directly on the perch beside its parent, calling and edging closer.
Before long the young bird had taken over the post entirely. With a little persistence and a lot of enthusiasm, it shuffled forward until the adult was forced further and further back… eventually losing the perch altogether.
A small but entertaining moment that shows just how determined young kingfishers can be when food is involved.
