While walking through the misty grounds of Helmingham Hall in Suffolk, this striking stag wandered past before briefly stopping to take a moment and look straight towards me. For a second, there was a quiet pause, as if he was checking who had entered his space, before calmly continuing on with his morning.
The soft fog in the background adds to the atmosphere, gently separating the stag from the landscape and highlighting the impressive shape of his antlers. Encounters like this are fleeting, but they offer a rare glimpse into the calm confidence of these magnificent animals.
