While walking along the beautiful coastline at Constantine Bay, this kestrel appeared gliding along the dunes. With just enough time to reach the top of the ridge, I watched as it paused and hovered in place, scanning the ground below for movement.
Kestrels are masters of this hovering technique, holding themselves almost perfectly still in the air as they search for prey. Moments like this often pass quickly, so being in the right place at the right time made this encounter particularly special.
